Austin, Texas - June 1st, 2022 - BalkanID, the intelligent identity governance and administration (IGA) solution for both public cloud and SaaS environments, today announced the achievement of System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II Compliance. This certification demonstrates BalkanID’s commitment to the most rigorous security standards for its own operations and handling of customer data. As companies increase their usage of outside vendors to perform activities that are core to their business operations and strategy, there is a need for the highest level of trust and transparency into cloud service providers’ operations, processes, and results.
BalkanID’s SOC 2 Type II report verifies the existence of internal controls which have been designed and implemented to meet the requirements for the security principles set forth in the Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security, Availability, Processing Integrity and Confidentiality. The Type II report not only concerns the policies and procedures in place at a point in time, but validates their effectiveness over a 6 month period. This independent validation of security controls is especially crucial for customers in highly regulated industries.
“Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance within the first 9 months of us being in existence is a testament to BalkanID’s enduring commitment to security,” said Jeremy Patton, BalkanID’s Chief Technology Officer. “This certification puts our customers at ease knowing that their data and privacy are held to the highest standards. Further, BalkanID will continue its pursuit in improving the security techniques and operational practices for our customers given the evolving threat landscape.”
